Hey y'all. I'm KayDianna, and this is my story.

Just to preface before we get started and dive into it, my story is to help empower people to realize that they have a voice and it deserves to be heard.

Just me speaking out today to y'all, I hope someone feels seen, feels valued, feels heard, and feels empowered to get up and advocate for themselves.

If you don't know who I am, I'm KayDianna—a faith-filled, family-oriented 26-year-old who married the love of her life, Eric, and has four adorable but chaotic little pups who I love.

I currently own my own coaching and choreography business where I get to instill core values into the next generation, and it's something that just warms my heart, and I just love that I get to do that.

Another part of me is dance. Dance has been with me ever since I was two years old, ever since I could basically walk, and it's something I definitely don't take for granted because God has instilled this gift in me that I get to express who I am, and it's the only place where I truly feel that I can be 100% KayDianna.

And when I got to say that I was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader—man, oh man, what a dream come true—because if I'm honest with y'all, I never knew I would even make it to that level of dance.

And I am so blessed and so grateful that I get to say that I am a part of that sisterhood.

The opportunities, the events, the girls definitely helped shape me and make me who I am today, and I am so grateful—and "blessed" is an understatement.

But with those four amazing years, there definitely came moments of hurt as well.
If you've seen certain news articles and social media, you probably know by now that I left my fourth year very unexpectedly, and I have sat back.

I have watched as this false narrative of me kind of spread like wildfire, and that was really hard for me because I just felt silenced during this whole time.

And after a lot of emotions, a lot of prayer, and just getting to talk with family and professionals and mentors, I think it's finally time for me to be able to step up and tell my story.

There are a lot of moving parts of why I left DCC and why I resigned, but at the end of the day, I really left because I didn't feel seen.

I didn't feel heard, and I didn't feel valued anymore.

To be completely transparent with y'all, I was just sitting back and allowing people to dictate my world and my own narrative, and letting other people silence my voice.
And I thought it was time to advocate for myself, even if that meant leaving my passion for dance behind.

And as a woman of faith, I truly believe that everyone on this earth has a plan and a purpose for them.

And if my purpose is to go through what I'm currently going through and what I went through and reach at least one person for them to feel validated and for them to feel heard, then I know I've done my part.

There's a difference between the rumors and the reality, and I've let y'all tell your story, but it's time for me to tell mine.
